O tipo TimeSpan cria uma coluna do tipo TIME que possui uma restrição menor do que TimeSpan. Especificamente, TIME só vai de '-838: 59: 59,000000' a '838: 59: 59,000000' . enquanto o TimeSpan pode atingir 256204778: 48: 05.477580.

Dê uma olhada em Conversões de valor , especificamente TimeSpanToStringConverter e TimeSpanToTicksConverter se você precisar de um período de tempo superior a um mês.

@mguinness Obrigado pela dica. Estou correto em interpretar o conversor de intervalo de tempo como sendo traduzido para o número de ticks, que é um Long no banco de dados?
Além disso, se não houver nada que você possa fazer, fecharei o relatório do bug.

Isso é esperado. Atualmente tratamos TimeSpan como valores menores que 24 horas. Portanto, mesmo new TimeSpan(1, 0, 0, 0) não funcionará. Isso imita o comportamento do SQL Server.

Como @mguinness apontou, usar TimeSpanToTicksConverter é o caminho a seguir. Pode ser usado assim:
