What is the current behavior?
There seems to be no way to set a CSV separator different than comma when saving as CSV. Can't choose a delimiter either. I found out the doc mentions it, but those options don't seem to be available in the desktop version.

Which versions of DesktopEditors, and which OS are affected by this issue? Did this work in previous versions of DesktopEditors?

I can confirm CSV is still _very_ much used in data exchange (which is, incidentally, the case I needed it for) and quite often the separator is not comma. This is literally the only issue preventing me from using and recommending ONLYOFFICE in my work day and work place.

I imagine someone coming across this and saying CSV is dead and no one uses it but I've seen a surprising number of cases where the use of various CSV file types are alive and well. Also if you're saving conversational text data, comma-delimited can cause problems because most conversational data will have commas. Some other separator is ideal.

I can't say whether or not this should be a priority for the ONLYOFFICE team, only that it's not a dead format. I can say that LibreOffice already has a pretty good lock on broad format capability, with their CSV options pictured below:

If the priority for ONLYOFFICE is usability and good object management, that won't hurt my feelings.

Is this in the roadmap by any chance yet?

Can't believe this was reported in 2018 and to this day no one did anything... Now that most distros are using OnlyOffice this became a huge problem

Sorry, currently there is no news regarding this issue.
Also in 2018 we forgot to mention here, but this is issue 36923 in our private issue tracker.

I (and my team) simply since ended up switching to another office solution, as the disregard for this was absurd to deal with.

Someone just brought ONLYOFFICE to my attention, but not being able to set the delimiter (and, to a lesser extent, character encoding) when saving a CSV is a deal breaker for me. It is the first thing I tested as it is something we use regularly. I hope to be able to revisit your office suite in the future when this basic functionality is added.
