Element-web: Feature request: add option to have "community" with rooms without a community
I'd like to have an extra fake "community" which just lists all rooms not in any community that I'm a part of. In my case I'd like to have this "community" instead of the "clear community selection" button currently in /app, so it should probably be an option.

We were talking the other day about nudging the left-left panel towards more of a 'collections' panel rather than a communities panel - this would allow it to list both 'real' communities (mapping on to real groups of humans aligned around a common cause or topic) and more abstract, personally curated sets of rooms that users could use to filter/segment their experience of the platform.
A 'set of rooms that are not in any other set' would require special implementation, but could conceptually sit alongside these other 'personal room sets'.
How much enthusiasm is there for such a feature? (Bring your :+1:s) I think we considered it previously, but decided that the need would be served well enough by the 'show all' rooms feature we have today.

The thing with the "show all" feature there is now is that I basically don't use communities because of it. I can't see which communities have rooms with new notifications in them, so you have to either switch continuously between them or just "show all". Combined with showing how much notifications there are in a certain community, having a "set of rooms that are not in any other set" makes the whole list way more clean and easier to search through in my opinion (and makes the whole experience more like Discord I guess, lots of people seem to want this).

i'm trying to bring a community over from discord right now and this is blocking me from doing what i want, because if i create a bunch of rooms to organize the community how i had before, it would mean flooding everyone's room list with rooms that only belong to that community and are only relevant there.
