Me encontré con un problema con el módulo Quectel BG96 . No tengo nada en ttyUSB3 y 2.
Parece que algunos cambios en 5.4.66 han afectado la forma en que se trata USB2-USB3.
Change rules for EC21, EC25, BG96 and EG95 to match vendor specific serial functions only, to prevent binding to class functions. Require 2 endpoints on ff/ff/ff functions, avoiding the 3 endpoint QMI/RMNET network functions.

Tengo el mismo problema con el firmware v1.20201022 .
Funcionó antes en la versión v1.20200819 , pero ya no funciona en las siguientes versiones.
Hay un cambio relacionado con el material USB de Quectel en los registros de cambios de option.c . Pero, lamentablemente, no tengo idea de la relevancia entre el problema y el cambio.

Y veo el problema: este dispositivo tiene dos funciones ff / ff / ff con 3 puntos finales, donde uno de ellos es RMNET y el otro es serial. Obviamente, este ID de dispositivo no debería haberse incluido en ese parche. Lo siento por eso. Te enviaré una reversión parcial en breve, @jhovold
También existe esta función ff / fe / ff, ¿qué AFAIK es exclusivo de este dispositivo? Extraño

Se ha exportado a todos los árboles del establo y debería aparecer en el
próxima versión.
Este problema se solucionó en las versiones 5.10+.
