Espeasy: Which core version ?

Created on 3 Oct 2018  ·  5Comments  ·  Source: letscontrolit/ESPEasy

In the past time i saw the Core Version under main/more info:
Libraries | ESP82xx Core 2_4_1, NONOS SDK 2.2.1(cfd48f3), LWIP: 2.0.3

In neweset build, i see only:
Libraries | ESP82xx Core 00000000, NONOS SDK 2.2.1(cfd48f3), LWIP: 2.0.3

Not really a problem, but nice to know..

In the upcoming PR #1852 I will revert the core to 2.4.1
I hope it will fix a lot of issues and doesn't break a lot of others....

Currently the set version in PlatformIO is core_2_4_2
The PlatformIO tag we're using is [email protected]
See here

Thank you for the information.
For me it is not good, because the PWM flicker issue is only fixed in core 2.4.1.
Will be 2.4.2 base for the coming stable ?

@2.4.2
Not sure yet, since there are also a lot of hardware watchdog resets and I don't know if it is caused by 2.4.2
2.4.2 does have some optimizations which yield 4 kB of extra memory, but for the last build I did revert that specific optimization as test to see if that causes these HW watchdog reboots.

Sorry to say @TD-er : mega-20181003 Normal: Hardware Watchdog Manual reboot after 6.2hr.

In the upcoming PR #1852 I will revert the core to 2.4.1
