I can confirm this problem on my Fedora 24. I see the Dropbox login form, but I cannot click the confirmation button to continue. An older release of Laverna (not sure which) worked on my other computer.

I have had this issue also.

Same issue on Linux. The 0.7.4 RC1 release doesn't fix it and actually
make it worse.

Hello my friends.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04.
I tried to start 0.7.4 RC1 with Dropbox but it wont ask me for credentials. There will be just a green background and the program closes after some seconds with the error: Segmentation fault (core dumped).
With Release 0.7.1 I can insert the credentials but the background stays white and nothing happens.

But you can work with 0.7.3 RC1. After you logged in there will be also no error with 0.7.4 RC1.

Shortstory. Try 0.7.3 and then try 0.7.4

I guess I am getting rid if this app without being able to sync it is useless. Not sure if I am gonna keep using the online service or not yet.

Hello, same problem with Ubuntu 16.04.
The html page asking for Dropbox login doesn't load properly : no css, no js working. Therefore the button "continue" does'nt not work.
How can we help here ?

Same here. On Debian 8.5. Previous version did allow me to sync with DropBox. This one never passes the screen in the image and just closes the application after like 10 sec.

This is happening for me too on version 0.7.4-RC1

I start using paper.dropbox.com

This issue should stay open, since it is not fixed yet.

Ok

I have the same problem. I'm using Windows 10 and the Windows 64 bit Laverna, v0.7.1

Interestingly, I tried the 32 bit version and thie first time I loaded the program I was able to enter my username/password for dropbox, but after I clicked the the allow button, that frame went empty and nothing else happened. After that, when I launch the program, I get the same error as before.

I can confirm this problem on my Fedora 24. I see the Dropbox login form, but I cannot click the confirmation button to continue. An older release of Laverna (not sure which) worked on my other computer.

It seem like it happened too for arch user with the last pre-release

I was able to get around this by manually downloading the last stable version, setting up dropbox with that version, and now the latest RC1 will load.

Doesn't fix the problem, but does let you use the latest version with dropbox.

Same here. Dropbox username and password appear behind the grey default text in the username/password text boxes, and the 'continue' button remains greyed out. Nor does the 'Sign in with Google' button do anything. Can't try Laverna for anything useful until I can connect to storage.

I used git-bisect and was able to isolate this issue to the commit 5990fb8d712ce7f7dd09d752772488838907d9e6

However i am not sure how to proceed from here to fix this. Can someone direct me to where the dropbox oauth code is being called from.

@violentmagician All dropbox related scripts are under this directory. By the way I sent you a message on Gitter about the AUR package

created a Pull reqest #717 to revert the original commit that was causing the regression for electron.
