Mupen64plus-ae: gameshark ?

map a button to it in Settings->Input->Controller. In the mapping screen press the menu button and tap "Show special functions"

I've tried that.. I'm only using a touch screen, and mapped it to a volume key and nothing happens when I try using it.

Someone else will have to weigh in... I don't know much about that feature unfortunately.

AFAIK, Mupen64Plus does not emulate the gameshark menu. The gameshark button is emulated though, because it is used by several of the gameshark cheats. Most of what the gameshark does (for example backing up a cartridge) wouldn't make sense in an emulator anyway. The main part of the gameshark that is useful in an emulator, i.e. cheat codes, are entered via definition files, and are activated in the Play menu by checking "Enable cheats" and selecting the ones you want to use.

Anyway we can write codes that are not in the selection ?

Yes. In the cheat definition files (mupen64plus.cht and mupencheat.txt). They are located in [sdcard]/Android/data/paulscode.android.mupen64plusae/data/ There are two files you must put the codes in (each have a slightly different syntax -- just copy some of the other cheats and modify them). Currently entries in both files are necessary (one is used to populate the menu, and the other is used by the core -- we will simplify this to use only the latter in a future update). Be sure to put the cheat into the proper section for the game it goes with.

BTW, we'll probably add a UI to version 3 at some point for entering cheats (most folks do not like to play around with the config files)

Still may be a while as the other version 3 upgrades are still being worked on. For now you could uninstall mupen64plus from the store and install this version: https://db.tt/GWHhEYYv

it won't open

Sorry, but I can't seem to find this folder.
I tried adding codes via the GUI but it's not saving the codes.
So I though i'd add them manually, so I came here to find it's location, but that address is not present here.

Which version of the app are you using?

Yoshi (why doesn't mupen64plus FZ have it ;( )

It would be illegal for the app to include ROM images.
