Are there any plans for Pixi.js to support React Native/Expo.io? Three.js works with Expo, but we really need a 2D graphics library that plays well with React Native. Pixi.js would of course be the most ideal solution.
What is the possibility of getting Expo.io support?
I've never ran pixi but I'd be very interested in getting it running with RN. I did a quick look around and looking at the setup instructions, pixi appears to be dependent on the canvas.
This library states to provide a canvas element for RN with an identical API. Might be worth opening a fork of pixi, lashing it in and see what breaks: https://alibaba.github.io/GCanvas/
@RossKinsella Thanks! I have been waiting for something exactly like GCanvas!
I've seen some work done with expo/pixi compatibility. https://github.com/expo/expo-pixi
Has anyone had much success with this? I've seen some working demos but am reluctant to recommend it for a production application.
