Swirl: "R session aborted"--question from new Swirl'er

Created on 12 Jul 2020  ·  9Comments  ·  Source: swirldev/swirl

I'm attempting to work through the "R Programming Basic Building Blocks" course on Swirl. I worked on it a little earlier today. When I come back to continue the course, I am getting a message in RStudio saying "R session aborted. R encountered a fatal error. This session was terminated."

Happens reliably on the "Basic Building Blocks" module; I switched over to R and was able to continue the course there.

Thoughts?

Thanks for any help!

Having a similar problem with the same course on Swirl. Getting the same "R session aborted. R encountered fatal error. This session was terminated." message in Rstudio. Would like to continue using Rstudio for the course, so hope there is a solution.

The same thing is happening to me! at the 21% complete part of the 1: Basic Building Blocks

This is also happening to me! But in lessons 10 e 11. The other ones work just fine

Is anybody going to help us?

same same on RStudio, but it's working on R.

I waited a few days, and than it worked

Facing the same problem when I assigned x <- 5+7 . The message displayed as R session Aborted. R encounters a fatal error. The session was terminated and with a new option: Start New Session. I don't see any solution here till now, please.

I am having the same problem but it did not happen again when I opened an R-script and typed answers there and run line-by-line
