Important Factoids

The terraform docs don't list default value as a property. This hidden behind the show advanced metric settings in the AWS web interface. This allows for metrics to record a 0 value in the absence of the event, instead of a null value.

This was previously released in terraform-provider-aws version 1.2.0 and has been available in all releases since. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading.
