In which Release will the jquery dependency removed

We hope to start working on this in the next release. It likely won't be completely removed until at least version 3.0, which is due next year.

Hi,
yes, it would be very nice to be able to drop this dependency... In my company we're planning a new project that won't need jQuery by itself so it would be really disturbing to be forced to include it (87Kbs).
