Woo-poly-integration: Looking for maintainers!

Created on 15 Apr 2019  ·  13Comments  ·  Source: hyyan/woo-poly-integration

Hi everyone,

Given that I am not using Wordpress these days and I haven't really been using WooPoly for a while. I am looking for maintainers to take over this project.

If you're interested, please reply to this issue or get in touch with me via email: hyyanaf [at] gmail [dot] com

I will give access to the project so you can contribute and move the project forward.
I can still handle uploading new releases to the WordPress repo.

Thanks!

@ahmedkaludi @wsdevcoil if you would like to contribute, please start by submitting a pull request or otherwise contribute to open issues.

Hi, did you found soemeone to maintain the plugin ?
I'm not interested but I like your plugin. I hope someone brilliant will continue your project.

@Niavl Unfortunately not yet

Interested.

valid ways to indicate interest are by contributing to closing issues and raising pull requests

Thank you.

Examples which might be good for those interested in taking over the plugin:

  • #208 import functionality
  • test WooCommerce blocks and implement any missing functionality
  • test the new WooCommerce 4.x provided features for Facebook and Google shopping etc and implement any missing functionality

For those interested in helping to get new functionality, test the features and raise detailed issue stating exactly what you expect to happen / what additional support is needed from the compatibility layer.

Is this plugin working or is there any other plugin with this functionality? I would like to use it in my website.

the answer to both questions is yes

@hyyan what will happen if nobody wants to help maintain this plugin? will there be no more updates in the future? hopefully whoever continuing to maintain this plugin can keep it free for the wordpress users. I see that some people forked this to create their own paid version...

@ewallz comments apply to any/all open source code.
There has been a release this year and there’s another one here: https://github.com/hyyan/woo-poly-integration/releases/tag/1.5.1 So at the moment some people are still helping and there are still updates
