Openapoc: Vehicle Raiding and Storming Feature Requests (Formally Civilian Bribe Bug)

Attached img shows having a bribe requested by a faction named "Civilian" which I'm pretty sure isn't a faction. Further, only Cult of Sirius are unhappy with me, with everyone else being neutral or better.

A lot of civilians died in the combat that just ended, which makes me think it was related, though I'd have expected it to be related to the building owner, rather than a "civilian" faction.

Save uploaded but couldn't save during the event, so it's just after. Decided to pay them in the hope that a faction might change and show what faction it was linked to, but there was no change.

Great catch! Both original game and OpenApoc have hidden "Civilian" faction which has its own relationship values. It represents general populace opinion on different organisations in the city.

Right now there's no side effects to poor relationship with them but potentially it could reduce the willingness of people to work for an organisation. They also could affect Government relationships since gov income comes from personal income tax only.

People running around in the building are civilians indeed. Only building security or agents belong to an organisation, everybody else is just bystanders.

...This is a great idea Ivan and it fits into the gameplay quite organically

Also there can be, for sure, those who not accept this corporate "paradise" and values .. ofcourse can be done as some mod
i can recall for example ...
Lo Teks from Johnny Mnemonic - a group of anti-establishment group, which avoids corporate control or influence, who live in a suspended hideout near the top of the geodesic domes covering the Sprawl.

Btw Apoc is Cyberpunk but what is Cyberpunk? or all from below?)
Cyberpunk works describe a dystopian world of the future, in which high technological development, such as information technology and cybernetics, is combined with comprehensive, excessive, unrestricted and uncontrolled state control over society (totalitarianism or authoritarianism in combination with algorithm [ en] and cyberocracy [en]),

or vice versa, decline, corruption, decay of state institutions, kleptocracy, combined with the dominance of giant transnational corporations, the mafia, social inequality, poverty or radical changes in the social structure of society itself

Honestly, so long as there is a way to counteract it (e.g. surviving civilians from alien encounter give +point, dying civilians give -point, raiding gives extra minus points etc) I think having a "popular opinion" element would be great. Less people available as soldiers/scientists is good as a negative repercussion, but also in exchange for high support you could have aliens in buildings reported quicker (before they infiltrate much) or similar.

Bug should be fixed in latest branch update. We can keep this issue to track suggestions.

Great, thank you Ivan for fix, i will create post at FB page this will be first post of its kind,
where we will explain what is the problem or the meaning of the idea and ask people about their opinion or ask people to make their suggestions about the topic of the post (you can give a seed of several ideas) (and link Git link if it exist)
and of course in the first post we will ask if people like these types of posts and whether we want to continue
