Não vejo nada que mencione EDEngineer, tentei com a opção "Encontrar" e nada.

Ok, resolvi o problema de instalação excluindo completamente o conteúdo da pasta %userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps e agora tenho a tela inicial novamente, mas apenas a abertura, por enquanto já passou um minuto e ainda não foi embora.

Nada, instalei isso e reinstalei o EDEngineer depois, ainda preso na tela inicial.

até ontem o programa não se confundia, e ontem, sobre um milagre, o programa começou e funcionou perfeitamente. mas, após a atualização de hoje, nada funciona, o processo ClickOnce é interrompido em segundo plano e nada acontece.

Certo, suspeito que o novo arquivo zip incorporado para compactar os dados está causando esses problemas ... Eu entendo que ele pode ser considerado suspeito pelo Windows ou qualquer AV (leva um arquivo zip, descompacte-o, leia o json extraído e exclua o zip e os arquivos assim que o conteúdo estiver na memória), mas isso economizou alguns megabytes.

Estou removendo isso por enquanto, o patch está implantado.
